Transform your space with a one-of-a-kind commissioned artwork

Commissions

A commissioned artwork is an opportunity to create something deeply personal. A piece that belongs not just within a space, but within the life lived around it.

At the Rue Franklin Studio, commissions are approached as a collaborative and considered process. Each painting is developed in response to your home, your aesthetic, and the atmosphere you want to create.

Working primarily with layered acrylic and spray paint, Mary creates modern abstract works defined by movement, structure, and restraint. The result is artwork that feels both expressive and enduring.

Every commission is painted by hand in the Washington, DC studio.

No two are ever repeated.

The Process

Commissions begin with a conversation. We will discuss scale, palette, placement, and the overall feeling you want the piece to evoke.

From there, a proposal is created to ensure the work aligns beautifully with your space before painting begins.

This measured approach allows the final piece to feel intentional rather than decorative. Collected rather than simply purchased.

Why Commission?

Collectors often choose to commission when they want a work that integrates seamlessly into their home while still carrying the presence of original art. It is not about matching a sofa.It is about shaping the energy of a room.

Availability

A limited number of commissions are accepted throughout the year to allow each work the time and focus it deserves.
